A terrific pair of Art Deco double-sided cufflinks in 14K yellow and white gold by Avedon. The front faces feature a white gold circle engraved in a pattern of off-center concentric circles surrounded by a yellow gold border. The yellow gold back faces are decorated in a matching pattern of concentric circles. The cufflinks are extremely heavy and are very well made. The connectors are marked “Avedon” and “14K”.Origin: America, ca. 1940. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: front faces, 3/4” diameter; back faces, 9/16” diameter. Weight: 20.5 grams.

A nice pair of vintage 18K yellow gold cufflinks in the flip-up stirrup style popularized by Cartier in the late 1940s. The circular ends are enhanced with engraved decoration. The pattern on each side is different, so depending upon which direction the ends are folded, the cufflinks have a strikingly variable look. The ends of the connectors are set with cabochon rubies. Tested and guaranteed 18K gold.Ca. 1950. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: circular ends, 5/8” diameter. Weight: 13.0 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: .6 carat.

A magnificent set of cufflinks the five shirt studs worked in 18K yellow and white gold set with diamonds. The face of each cufflink and stud is formed as a white gold star surrounded by a foliate and beaded yellow gold border. The stars are set with brilliant round-cut diamonds of extremely fine quality, estimated at F color, VSI clarity. The outer gold edges have fine saw-pierced galleries. The backs of the cufflinks have a toggle closure and the studs have double-folding flanges. This set is most unusual in that it includes five shirt studs. The quality of workmanship is at a level of the most exclusive makers. The presence of five studs indicates that the set was probably a custom order, since most formal shirts have only three or four holes for studs. The advantage of the fifth stud, of course, is that if you lose one of the others you have a ready replacement! The yellow gold is intensely yellow—a shade not usually achieved below 20K. Each piece is marked “750” for 18K gold and is signed “DIF”.Origin: probably European, ca. 1950. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: cufflinks, 5/8” diameter; studs, 7/16” diameter. Weight: 25.0 grams. Approximate Total Diamond Weight: 1.25 carats.

A very handsome pair of 14K yellow gold and onyx cufflinks with a matching tie pin by K. Uyeda. The oval onyx faces are topped with oval, gold pyramids. The gold surfaces are intricately decorated with engine-turned engraving in a basketweave pattern. The connectors are marked in the traditional Japanese manner, "K14". The set is presented in its original velvet and silk box from K. Uyeda. Located in Tokyo's Imperial Hotel, Uyeda is one of Japan's most exclusive jewelers, and all their products are of the very finest quality.Origin: Japan, ca. 1980. Condition: excellent, all original. A nice pair of Art Deco style 18K white gold cufflinks, the rectangular faces set with onyx plaques. Each onyx is bisected by a line of twelve 1-point diamonds bead-set in white gold to create a strong geometric motif. The setting is sparkly without being garish. The faces are attached with solid connectors to the toggle backs. The connectors are marked "750" for 18K gold.Origin: Continental Europe, ca. 1980. Condition: excellent, all original.
