A pretty Art Nouveau honeymoon pin worked in 14K yellow gold enhanced with enamel and a small diamond. The violet blossom is worked in shades of purple, ivory and maroon opaque enamels. The edges of the petals are finished in a repousse gold border in the style often seen on Larter enamels. The flower is centered with a 3-pt prong-set old European cut diamond. The exposed gold surfaces have the soft, slightly matte Russian finish. In the Victorian language of flowers, these elements were understood to symbolize “honey” (the flower) and “moon” (the crescent), thus representing “honeymoon”. These small pins were often given by grooms to their new brides as a wedding gift. The original clasp is stamped with Larter’s hallmark and is marked “14K”.Origin: America, ca. 1900. Conditino: excellent, no enamel damage. Size: 1-1/16” x 9/16”. Weight: 2.0 grams.

A beautiful Art Nouveau 14K yellow gold pansy brooch, the petals stunningly decorated in shaded opaque enamels and bordered with seed pearls. The coloring of the enamel is very fine. The flower is centered by a prong-set old European cut diamond of fine quality, estimated at H color, VS1 clarity. The seed pearl border is a somewhat uncommon touch and makes this pin stand out a bit from the crowd. The back of the brooch retains the original extended pinstem and c-clasp and a folding bale so the piece can be worn as a pendant. Though unmarked, the piece is almost certainly by Krementz, Hedges or an American maker of equal quality. Tested and guaranteed 14K.Origin: America, ca. 1900. A stunning French Art Nouveau 18K yellow gold locket, the front decorated with a monkey. The monkey, in a sitting position, holds his tail in one hand and a collet-set old mine cut diamond in the other. He is surrounded by gingko leaves, a classic foliate design in French Art Nouveau jewels. The detailing of the monkey is exquisite, with each little tuft of fur delicately engraved. The monkey's tail extends below the bottom edge of the locket to conceal the clasp. The locket slides open sideways instead of opening on a hinge in the traditional manner. The interior retains the original frames and an original photographic portrait. The bale bears French 18K gold "tete de Mercure" guarantee and an unidentified maker's mark. This piece is undoubtedly the work of a master jeweler and is the finest Art Nouveau locket we've offered.Origin: France, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, all original, sharp detail, no monogram. Size: 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" (excluding jump ring). Weight: 18.0 grams. Approximate Diamond Weight: .2 carat.

A beautiful 14K gold pendant enhanced with translucent enamels. The pendant is in the form of a viola blossom suspended from a golden stem and flanked by leaves. The flower petals and leaves are intricately and very finely enameled in shades of green, yellow, violet and rose. The blossom is centered by a small seed pearl, and the pendant is finished with a freshwater dog-tooth pearl drop. The pendant is suspended from its original chain. The pendant is unmarked, but is most certainly a product of one of the Newark makers such as Krementz, Larter, Alling, etc. Tested and guaranteed 14K.Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, all original, no enamel damage. Size: chain, 16” long; pendant, 1-3/8” x 15/16”. Weight: 6.0 grams.

A lovely small Art Nouveau floral brooch worked in 10K yellow gold and highlighted at the center with a gold pansy decorated in translucent enamels. The coloring of the pansy is particularly nice, shading delicately from a soft rose and yellow on the upper petals to a stronger bluish-violet and black on the lower petals. The pearl is centered with a small seed pearl, and another seed pearl to one side suggests a bud. In the Victorian language of flowers, the pansy represented remembrance. Small brooches such as this might have been given as a parting gift. The flower is enclosed in a gold circle flanked by “wings”. The back retains the original pinstem and clasp marked “10K”.Origin: America, ca. 1910. Condition: excellent, all original, no enamel damage. Size: 3/4" x 1-1/8”. Weight: 2.5 grams.
