A wonderful pair of Edwardian earrings in platinum-topped 14K yellow gold. The surmounts, featuring round moonstone cabochons in collet settings, suspend knife-edge drops descending to collet-set diamond above large pear-shaped moonstone cabochons. The moonstones have good blue adularescence against the pale body color. The pear-shaped stones almost have a cat’s-eye effect because of the cutting shape. The large moonstones are set in claw settings with a double gallery that allows light to enter the stones freely. The old European cut diamonds are of good quality. The platinum topping over the gold contributes to the “pale” color scheme that was so important to late Edwardian jewels. The knife-edge mountings are articulated, so the earrings have a lot of movement when being worn. Tested and guaranteed 14K and platinum.Origin: America, ca. 1910. Condition: excellent, earwires are probably replacements. Size: 2-3/16” to top of earwire. Weight: 7.9 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: diamond, .1 ct; moonstone, 14.42 cts.

A delightful 18K yellow gold giraffe charm or pendant by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. of London. This company was one of the most famous late Victorian and Edwardian jewelers, being appointed as a purveyor to the king. The charm is nicely detailed and shows the giraffe in a standing position with its tall neck outstretched. Certainly, giraffes were still considered unusual animals at the time, and might have been made as either a quirky pendant/charm or as a piece of jewelry for a child. The charm is presented in its original velvet- and silk-lined fitted box, the lid embossed with the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co.'s Royal Warrant. Tested and guaranteed 18K.Origin: England, ca. 1910. Condition: excellent. Size: 1" long. Weight: 4.2 grams.

An extraordinary and rare 14K yellow gold bangle bracelet by Krementz adorned with enameled white and pale blue forget-me-nots. Krementz made some of the best Art Nouveau enameled jewelry, and continued producing enamels well into the 20th century. Blue and white forget-me-nots, a particularly popular motif in the early 1900s, frequently appeared in small pins and pendants. This piece, however, is the first bangle bracelet we've seen. Bangle bracelets are notoriously subject to damage and it is amazing that the enamel on this bracelet has survived in mint condition. The enameled flowers are accented with engraved foliage and a stippled background. The interior is hallmarked by Krementz and is marked "14K".Origin: America, ca. 1905. Condition: mint. Size: 1/4" wide; opening, 2-9/16" x 2-1/4". Weight: 9.0 grams.

The lenses are attached to the handle with a fan motif. The other end of the handle has a ring so that the lorgnette could be worn from a chatelaine. The nose piece is marked with Continental hallmarks for 14K gold. The lorgnette is presented in its original leather carrying pouch.Origin: Continental Europe, ca. 1910. Condition: excellent and completely functional, no enamel damage, a small ding on the handle near the ring, normal scratching to the lenses. Size: 5-7/8" long. Weight: 30.5 grams.

Elegant Edwardian 14K gold brooch in the form of a floral bouquet. The flower petals are enameled in soft iridescent silver and then “jeweled” with a thick application of translucent amethyst enamel. This unusual treatment creates a feeling of depth in the flowers. Each blossom is centered with a natural pearl. The leaves look very much like water lilies foliage and are beautifully decorated with translucent green enamel fading to yellow at the tips. The back retains the original clasp and pinstem marked “14K” and hallmarked by Krementz.Origin: America, ca. 1915. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1-13/16” x 7/8”. Weight: 4.5 grams.
