$525

Very nice pair of Victorian earrings in 14K gold with turquoise. The arrow motif was a popular design element in Victorian jewelry. In this case, the arrows are centered by calibre-cut Persian turquoise. The feathers at the end of the arrow are realistically engraved. The wires are hinged and close with c-clasps.

Origin: America, circa 1880. Condition: excellent, there is a possibility that one of the c-clasps was resoldered quite a long time ago. Size: 1” long. Weight: 2.0 grams.

$795

Excellent pair of Victorian 18K yellow gold drop earrings with Mediterranean coral beads. The earrings are quite heavy and are very well constructed with closed backs that make them attractive from behind, as well. The coral has the nice, even coloring of fine Mediterranean coral from the coast of Italy. The original earwires have been replaced with screwbacks, but because of the way the earrings are constructed, there were no alterations to the earrings themselves. They could easily be re-converted to wires. The gold has a slightly rosy color that complements the coral nicely. Tested and guaranteed 18K gold.

Origin: America, circa 1860. Condition: excellent. Size: 1-3/8” x 11/16”. Weight: 8.5 grams.

$1,200

Extremely fine Victorian 14K yellow gold mesh bracelet featuring five cameos carved from onyx. The five cameos represent four classically-dressed maidens surrounding a young man, also in Grecian attire. The cameos are very nicely carved with good detail. The male cameo also forms the box clasp so that the clasp is invisible when the bracelet is being worn. The cameos are mounted in simple milligrained settings joined by links. The cameos are connected to a heavy, high-quality gold mesh that forms the rest of the bracelet. The gold has a slightly rosy tint that nicely contrasts with the black and white cameos. The bracelet retains its original safety chain. The clasp is marked “14K”.

Origin: America, circa 1890. Condition: excellent, one cameo may have a tiny roughness to the tip of the nose, but it may also be simply the way it was carved, all original. Size: 7-5/8” long; 13/16” wide. Weight: 34.5 grams.

$475

Very nice Napoleon III triple-strand coral bead bracelet with a lovely vermeil clasp. The clasp is delicately engraved in a floral pattern. The coral beads are faceted and have nice, uniform coloring. Strands of coral beads were thought by Victorians to ward off evil spirits, and were often given as gifts for babies. The gilding of the clasp has faded to a soft lemony shade. The clasp is hallmarked with the French "tete de sanglier" silver mark. There is also an unidentified jeweler's mark.

Origin: France, circa 1850. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 6-3/16" long; clasp, 9/16" wide.

$450

Very nice Victorian 14K gold honeymoon pin featuring an enameled flower superimposed over a crescent moon. The flower is delicately enameled in translucent shades of yellow, white and pink, and centered with an old mine-cut diamond. The exposed areas of gold have the bloomed finish often found on Art Nouveau jewels. In the Victorian language of flowers, the combination of a flower and a crescent moon signified "honeymoon". These pins were often given by grooms to their brides on the honeymoon night. The back of the pin retains the original pinstem and clasp, marked "14K" and with an unidentified jeweler's mark.

America (probably Newark), circa 1900. Condition: excellent, all original, no enamel damage. Size: 1-1/16" x 5/8". Weight: 3.0 grams.
