A classic mid-20th century art glass cocktail shaker typical of works by Venini. The amethyst glass is decorated with white ribbon swirls twisting around the tapered sides of the shaker. The base is finished with an applied clear foot while the upper rim has a chrome collar that matches the chrome cap with ball finial. While it is without documentation, the design does seem somewhat reminiscent of those by Gio Ponti for Venini.Origin: Italy, ca. 1955. Condition: no chips or cracks to glass, a couple of small dings on the ball finial. Size: 11" tall.

A very nice cut crystal cocktail shaker in cobalt blue overlay. The design is a classic pattern of angular mitres emanating from oval printies. The shaker is acid-signed on the bottom "Japan". Cut glass in the Art Deco style was one of the industries established in Japan during the Occupation following World War II, and the products are always of fine quality that easily compete with European products of the same era. The shaker is completed with its original chrome plated top.Origin: Japan, ca. 1947. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks to the glass or metal. Size: 11" tall.

The flared shape of the silverplate lid nicely accents the rest of the shaker. The collar is hallmarked by an unidentified company.Origin: Europe, probably France, ca. 1930. The glass in this example is relatively good quality, with only few small bubbles, and is considerably larger than many examples. The base is ground and polished concave.Origin: China, ca. 1930.
