An extremely fine and rare Georgian 12K gold bracelet featuring a large rectangular plaque of landscape agate flanked by seven smaller rectangular plaques. With only a little imagination, the central panel appears to represent a grouping of trees in front of distant mountains, while the smaller plaques seem more like tree-covered islands in a calm lake. Landscape agate was popular for small brooches in the Georgian era, but large examples made of several matched pieces such as this are extremely rare. The plaques are set in 12K yellow gold frames with typical Georgian chased scrolled and beaded decoration. The agate displays warm shades of tan, brown and grayish-cream. The bracelet has a replaced hidden box clasp (14K), but is in otherwise perfect original condition.

A fine, heavy pair of Edwardian double-sided 18K gold and platinum cufflinks, the square faces with canted corners and ornate engine-turned engraving in a floral and striped pattern. The edges are finished with millgraining. These cufflinks are unusually heavy for their type because of the quite thick layer of platinum laid over the gold. The backs have an unknown maker’s mark (“GS”), American 18K marks and English import hallmarks dated 1927.

A truly exquisite French late Art Nouveau pendant/brooch worked in 18K gold and studded with 95 single-cut diamonds. The brooch features a gold lily pad worked in delicate shades of yellowish-green and with intricate engraving beneath the translucent enamel. The leaf is surrounded in a whiplash frame of small diamonds set in silver over gold (typical of French jewels of the 19th century). The frame is accented with a pair of natural button pearls and suspends a natural drop pearl at the bottom. A diamond-studded lily blossom is attached with a knife-edge stem of gold and silver. The entire frame is surmounted by a full-blown waterlily blossom, also set in diamonds. The back has a pair of bails so the piece can be worn as a pendant, but also a pinstem so it can be worn as a brooch. This is an exceptionally fine Art Nouveau jewel.

A very fine Victorian 14K yellow gold fob or pendant featuring a 23.5-carat oval brilliant cut amethyst nestled in the coiled tail of a ferocious chimera. The mythological beast has an eagle’s head and feathery wings attached the the scaly body of a snake or dragon. The amethyst has moderately saturated medium-purple color and eye-clean clarity. The cutting is good, showing about about 60% brilliance. Jewels featuring mythological creatures become popular in Paris around 1870 and the style quickly spread to America. Tested and guaranteed 14K.

A lovely and weighty vintage 18K yellow gold oval locket, the front cover enhanced with a finely-worked net motif studded with nearly a half-carat small round brilliant cut diamonds in a résille (net) pattern. The diamonds offer a nice bit of glitter without being overwhelming. The back of the locket is stamped with the maker’s mark and English 18K hallmarks used between 1974 and 1999 (probably toward the earlier part of the period).

A handsome pair of double-sided button-style cufflinks, the round faces formed from discs of mother-of-pearl surrounded by borders of opaque royal blue enamel. A fascinating pair of Irish sterling silver cufflinks, the faces formed from flattened spheres of carved rock crystal set in a silver band. The faces are joined with solid connectors to ball backs. The mountings are indistinctly marked with Irish hallmarks and also have a maker’s mark “RK”.

A stunning early Art Deco platinum bracelet set with diamonds and emeralds. The bracelet comprises seven rectangular plaques, each centered with an old European cut diamond. The plaques are hand-pierced in an ornate foliate pattern accented with a total of 84 smaller old European and single cut diamonds and 70 calibre-cut natural emeralds. The primary diamonds (two .44ct; two .46ct; two .55ct; and one .61ct) are very well matched and are graded G/SI1. Each plaque is slightly arched to accommodate the curve of the wrist. The clasp has a hidden safety catch and is stamped with French platinum hallmarks.

A very fine Art Nouveau pendant comprising an exceptionally large natural freshwater pearl mounted in platinum set with diamonds. The mounting is in floral form, the leaves set with nine single-cut diamonds accented with another .15-ct old European cut diamond. The jump ring is worked in the form of a platinum clover set with three small diamonds. The pearl has fine luster with noticeable rose and green orient. This piece is a delightful example of freshwater pearl jewelry. Tested and guaranteed platinum and 14K gold.

An extremely fine pair of 18K yellow gold half-hoop earrings channel-set with princess cut diamonds and square cut blue sapphires. Like all of Wayne’s jewelry, the gemstones are of the very top quality. The diamonds are F color and VVS2 clarity. The sapphires are extra-fine quality, with strongly saturated pure blue color and eye-clean clarity. The earrings have the original posts with omega backs.
