Hand wrought sterling silver pickle fork in the classic "Granada" pattern by Old Newbury Crafters. This is among the most sought after makers of fine American silver. Every piece is made entirely by hand. The spoon surface is highlighted with a slight hammered finish. The reverse is marked "Hand Wrought ONC Sterling". The reverse also bears the mark for the artisan who made the piece, Roger R. Rowell.

Silver from Old Newbury Crafters is the service at Blair House, the official U.S. residence of visiting heads of state.

Elegant 14K yellow gold and pearl brooch in a modern bouquet design. The four pearl "flowers" are set atop golden stems that are tied with a swirling gold ribbon. Each pearl is 5.5 mm and has the wonderful white body color with silvery overtones characteristic if Mikimoto pearls. The nacre is thick and the skins are very smooth. The back is marked with Mikimoto's hallmark and "K14".

Lovely vintage signed Mikimoto brooch in sterling silver set with eight pearls, ranging from 5 to 6mm. The pearls are of very fine quality with white body color and a silvery overtone. Rare sterling silver ice tongs in Kirk’s popular “Old Maryland Plain” pattern. This pattern, designed in 1850, is one of the oldest patterns in Baltimore silver. Because it is so simple, it can appear both Colonial or contemporary, and works well with nearly any silver pattern. The tongs are marked with later 20th century Kirk hallmarks.

Beautiful 29.75” strand of pearls by Mikimoto. The 6.0-6.5mm pearls are joined with a 14K yellow gold clasp set with a 3.3mm pearl. The strand comprises 113 pearls having medium cream-rose body color with Mikimoto’s classic rosé overtones. The nacre is thick and the luster is very fine. The quality is appraised at fine AA, indicating that they just border on the elusive AAA quality. The clasp is marked with Mikimoto’s hallmark. The strand is presented in its original white satin folio marked "Mikimoto Fifth Avenue".

Origin: Japan, ca. 1980. Condition: excellent, securely strung; the satin folio has a champagne stain in the interior. Size: 29.75”, 6.0-6.5mm.

Accompanied by a June 2005 Bailey, Banks & Biddle written appraisal for $6,500.
