An attractive pair of vintage 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces set with 19x13mm oval cabochons of jade with gold borders worked in a bamboo pattern. The bamboo makes for an attractive setting and reinforces the Asian origin of the jadeite. The jade cabochons are translucent and are color-graded at medium-light, slightly grayish, yellowish-green (yG4/3) with lighter mottling. The torpedo backs are hinged. Marked “585” and “14K” and also with an unidentified maker’s mark “TYL”. Origin: America, ca. 1970. Condition: excellent. Size: 13/16” x 21/32”. Weight: 9.8 grams. |
