Handsome pair of vintage cufflinks featuring round faces of rose-cut pyrope garnets pave-set in gilt silver. The garnets have a very nice red color without an excess of the brown undertones that make many garnets look dead. The gilding has mellowed to a soft golden color. The toggle backs make the cufflinks easy to put on. The backs are marked “900”. Origin: probably Czechoslovakia, circa 1940. Condition: excellent. Size: faces, 17/32” diameter. Weight: 8.0. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: 1.0 carat. |
