Elegant Victorian wine cooler and matching underplate. The glass is of the finest quality, as is the workmanship. Nearly the entire surface is beautifully engraved with boughs of grape leaves and fruit. The rim of the plate has a matching design. The cranberry staining is very evenly applied for smooth coloration. This is one of the best pieces of Victorian engraved stained glass we’ve seen. Origin: probably Bohemia, circa 1880. Condition: near mint, no chips or cracks. Size: underplate, 10-1/8” diameter; bucket, 8-1/4” diameter x 5-7/8” tall. |
