Lovely pair of Victorian 10K yellow gold earrings featuring star-shaped gold drops centering pretty old mine-cut white zircons. White zircons were a popular Victorian substitute for diamonds because they had nearly the same brilliance and white color of the finest diamonds. The gold has a slightly rosy tint. The overall effect is very dainty, even though the earrings are quite long. Tested and guaranteed 10K. Origin: America, ca 1890. Condition: excellent, the wires are likely replacements. Size: 1-5/16" long. Weight: 3.5 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: 1.0 carat. |
