Pretty late Victorian porcelain child's plate featuring a colorful transfer design of a milkmaid flanked by dachsunds and a little boy. The scene is entitled "This is the maiden all forlorn." The back of the plate is marked "Germany". Origin: Germany, ca. 1900. Condition: excellnt, no chips or cracks, bright colors, extremely light wear to original gilding. Size: 7" diameter. |
