Lovely pair of Retro 14K yellow gold and amethyst earrings. The round brilliant-cut amethysts are surrounded by wreaths of gold spheres. The amethysts have very intense color and excellent clarity, and are set in Tiffany prong settings to maximize their beauty. The earrings retain the original screwbacks, but could be converted to wires rather easily. Marked “14K”. Origin: America, ca. 1930. Condition: a ball on one earring has a fairly unnoticeable 3/32" ding on the edge and there are a couple of tiny pinpoints on two other balls; otherwise excellent. Size: 3/4” diameter. Weight: 7.0 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: 2.4 carats. |
