A lovely Edwardian pansy pin worked in 14K yellow gold and covered in matte enamels that suggest the “velvety” texture of a pansy’s petals. The upper petals are completely white, while the lower three petals are enhanced with yellow and brown painted enamel decoration. The pansy is centered with a small round brilliant-cut diamond. The back is marked “14K” and also has an unidentified maker’s mark. Origin: America, ca. 1920. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 7/8” x 13/16”. Weight: 4.25 grams. |
