Gorgeous Retro ring in 18K gold and platinum, featuring a .45 carat round brilliant-cut diamond flanked by a pair of 1/3-carat round-cut rubies. The gems are separated with a decorative ropetwist that is repeated along the shoulders. The crown sits up quite high and the gallery is beautifully pierced in a scrolled pattern. The diamond is estimated at S1 clarity and J color. The shank is hallmarked with French 18K gold and platinum marks. There is also an unidentified jeweler’s mark. Origin: France, ca. 1940.
