A gorgeous Victorian locket worked in 10K yellow gold, the face decorated in painted enamels depicting a bouquet of Easter lilies. The quatrefoil enamel decoration is of the finest quality, with excellent detail and lustrous colors. The exposed gold surfaces are covered with ornate chased decoration. The same decoration is repeated on the back side of the locket, centering a shield-shaped reserve (never monogrammed). The interior retains the original gold frame and glass cover. Tested and guaranteed 10K gold. Origin: America, ca. 1880. Condition: excellent, all original, no enamel damage, no monogram. Size: 1-7/16” x 1-3/16”. Weight: 10.5 grams. |
