A pretty Art Nouveau floral brooch worked in 14K gold. Sinuous foliage forms the heart-shaped outline of the pin, while the flower fills the center. The flower is set with an old mine-cut sapphire of very nice color. A bud is represented by a small seed pearl. The gold has a slightly green tone that quite attractive. The back retains the original extended pinstem and c-clasp. The back is marked “585” for 14K. Origin: Europe, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1” x 15/16”. Weight: 2.5 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: .08 carat. |
