A wonderful sterling silver figural jigger in the shape of a Colonial pewter tankard. This design was commissioned by Cartier from America’s largest pewterer, J.C. Boardman & Co. Boardman was also an important silversmith, known for producing major trophies for the Super Bowl, Wimbledon and Miss America Pageant. The jigger measures a standard 1.5oz shot. The bottom is marked with Cartier’s retailer’s mark, and Boardman’s hallmark. Origin: America, ca. 1950s. Condition: excellent, no dings or monograms. Size: 2-3/16” tall. |
