A stunning 18K yellow gold, pearl and diamond ring signed Mikimoto. The heart-shaped crown is centered by a cluster three 4.3—4.5 mm pearls, and the border is set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. The pearls are of extra fine AAA—the highest possible quality rating, with very fine luster and a white body color with rosé overtones. The diamonds, likewise, are very fine—estimated at E color, VVS clarity. The inside of the shank is stamped with Mikimoto’s shell hallmark and “750” for 18K gold. The ring is accompanied by an August 2006 written appraisal for $2,150 by Bailey, Banks & Biddle’s Mikimoto specialist appraiser. Origin: Japan, ca. 1990. Condition: virtually mint.
