A wonderful Victorian 14K yellow gold hinged bangle bracelet with buckle decoration. The bracelet is enhanced with three cushion-cut gemstones--ruby, diamond and sapphire--set in a row across the top. This patriotic arrangement of red, white and blue stones was popular around the time of the American Centennial celebrations of 1876. The gems are of extremely fine quality. The buckle motif is usually found in rings, but bracelets are quite rare. Tested and guaranteed 14K gold. Origin: America, ca. 1876. Condition: near mint, no dings, all original. Size: 1/4" wide; interior, 2-3/16" x 1-3/4"; interior circumference, approximately 6-1/4". Weight: 17.0 grams.
