Elegant late Victorian ring composed of a 14 karat white gold slightly scallop-edged, navette-shaped plaque bead-set with a central brilliant, round-cut Burmese ruby surrounded at compass points with four bead-set, brilliant-cut diamonds. The shoulders are set with four additional round-cut rubies. The shank is 14 karat yellow gold. The rubies are of excellent color and clarity, with fine silk, and are most likely from the Mogok region of Burma. The diamonds are also of good color and clarity. The shank is stamped "14K".
Origin: American, circa 1900. Condition: excellent. Size: 5-1/4. Weight: total ruby weight, approximately 1/3 carat; total diamon weight, approximately 1/4 carat. |
