A superb vintage 14K yellow gold brooch featuring a cluster of magnificent large cultured pearls. The 7mm pearls have are deeply lustrous and have cream body color with strong rosé overtones. The surfaces are nearly flawless. Though not marked as such, the pearls are easily on par with Mikimoto's, and are estimated as AA+. The pearls are accented with a swirl of gold in the background. The back has the bull-nose clasp used by Mikimoto, and is marked "K14". Origin: Japan, ca. 1950. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1-1/2" diameter. |
