A beautiful late Victorian / Art Nouveau 10K yellow gold pendant/brooch decorated with enamel, seed pearls and a diamond. The petals feature delicately tinted opaque enamels in shades of pink and cream with green veining. Each swirling petal is outlined with a row of bead-set seed pearls. The center of the flower is prong-set with an old European cut diamond. The back features a folding swivel bail, so the piece can be worn as a pendant or a brooch. The back is marked with an anchor-shaped hallmark, probabaly that of a Newark maker. The pendant is currently on a contemporary box chain. Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, no enamel damage. Size: 1" diameter; chain, 16-1/2" long. Weight: pendant, 4.0 grams; chain, 2.0 grams. Approximate Diamond Weight: .1 carat. |
