A terrific pair of 18K yellow gold double-faced cufflinks, the faces in a shape suggestive of artichokes. The top of each face is prong-set with a blue sapphire. The sapphires have stunning cornflower blue coloring and superb clarity characteristics of stones from Sri Lanka. The settings are finely constructed and are completely three-dimensional. The faces are attached with a clip connector and the faces can be easily removed when putting the cufflinks through the cuff hole. The backs are indistinctly marked with a Continental hallmark and a maker’s mark. Tested and guaranteed 18K. Origin: Europe, ca. 1930's. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1/2" diameter. Weight: 11.5 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: 2.0 carats. |
