A handsome set of two cufflinks and three shirt studs featuring oval cabochon amethysts set simply in silver mountings. The stones are finely colored with even shading and good clarity. The cufflinks have toggle backs and are marked with French import marks, as well as “830”, suggesting that the cufflinks were made in Germany. There is also an unidentified French maker’s mark. The shirt studs have spring mechanisms and are unmarked. Origin: Europe, ca. 1960. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: cufflinks, 3/4" x 1/2"; studs, 3/8” x 1/4". Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: 24.31 carats. |
