A beautiful small enameled 14K yellow gold pansy brooch by Larter. The petals are elegantly decorated in rich opaque shades of purple, lavender, brown and cream. The enamel has the velvety texture that many of the Newark makers used especially for enameled pansies. The petals are centered with a 4-point round cut diamond. The back retains the original pinstem, safety clasp, and swivel bale. The back is stamped with Larter's hallmark. Origin: America, ca. 1910. Condition: excellent, a tiny enamel flake only visible with a loupe. Size: 3/4" x 3/4". Weight: 4.0 grams. |
