A very nice pair of Art Nouveau sterling silver cufflinks by Unger Bros. Each of the oval faces features a stylized design reminiscent of pine needles swirling around a central boss. The design shows a clear trend toward a more geometric style that eventually grew into Art Deco, rather than the swirling, feminine lines of classic Art Nouveau. The faces are connected by oval links. The backs are stamped with Unger's hallmark. Origin: America, ca. 1910. Condition: excellent, all original, sharp detail. Size: 13/16" x 17/32". Weight: 11.0 grams. |
