A handsome pair of Art Deco double-faced cufflinks, the faces fashioned as white gold knots centering cabochon sapphires collet-set in yellow gold. The knot faces are attached by yellow gold figure-8 connectors and are hinged to easily fit through the cuff. The sapphires have fine, intense coloring. The cufflinks are very well-made and are quite heavy. The connectors are marked with French “tete d’aigle” marks for 18K gold and also have an unidentified maker’s mark. Origin: France, ca. 1930. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 7/16” diameter. Weight: 11.0 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: 1.32 carats. |
