An elegant Art Nouveau 18K yellow gold pill box, the surface finely decorated in a sort of lizard skin or pebbled pattern. The hinged lid features a trefoil flower, the petals formed from slightly oval blue sapphire cabochons and the stem from rose cut diamonds. The lid is finished with a sapphire-set thumbpiece. The lid fits securely. Tested and guaranteed 18K. Origin: France, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1-3/16” diameter; 5/8” deep. Weight: 10.9 gr. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: sapphire, .65 carat; diamond, .03 carat. |
