Beautiful Art Deco crystal cocktail shaker cut in an elongated lozenge pattern through the cranberry overlay into the clear crystal underneath. The cutting pattern, combined with the unusual cinched-waste shape creates an interesting optical effect. The bottom is star-cut. The top edge of the shaker is finished with a silverplate collar. The flared shape of the silverplate lid nicely accents the rest of the shaker. The collar is hallmarked by an unidentified company. Origin: Europe, probably France, ca. 1930. Condition: excellent, all original, no cracks or dings. Size: 11-1/4" tall. |
