An exquisite vintage 14K yellow gold bracelet composed of five plaques, each set with an array of cabochon and faceted gemstones. The predominant use of cabochon-cut stones creates a sort of bubble-like feel to the faintly abstract floral plaques. This type of design was frequently seen in early pieces by Seaman Schepps. The setting is created in a way that minimizes the amount of gold visible, further accenting the various gemstones. The gems are nicely colored emeralds, green tourmalines, pink tourmalines, aquamarines and citrines. Each of the plaques is accented with a pair of brilliant round-cut rubies at its center, lending a sense of design continuity. The plaques are further enhanced with a heart-cut citrine, an emerald-cut citrine, and an oval-cut ruby. The plaques are separated by rare cat's eye moonstones, each displaying a very nice chatoyancy. Each plaque is hinged, so the bracelet is comfortable. The clasp, with its double safety clasp, is marked "14K" and is signed "K. Lambert". Origin: America, ca. 1955. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 6-3/4" long. Weight: 48.6 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: emerald, 14.24 ct; tourmaline, 20.59 ct; ruby, 3.03 ct; aquamarine, 2.56 ct; amethyst, 8.93 ct; citrine, 5.19 ct; moonstone, 38.54 ct. |
