A handsome pair of modernist cufflinks featuring arched rectangular malachite cabochons surrounded by an angular pattern reminiscent of Aztec designs. The gold surfaces are roughly textured for added interest. The malachite is nicely marked with strong color contrast. The toggle backs are marked “14K”. Origin: America, ca. 1965. Condition: excellent, one stone has a loupe-visible surface scratch (nearly impossible to see without magnification and bright light). Size: 1-1/8” x 23/32”. Weight: 18.0 grams. |
