A very handsome pair of late Victorian double-faced cufflinks set in 18K yellow gold. The oval faces are made from carved oval plaques of agate centering engraved gold flowers. The agate is from a particularly nice specimen, with an interesting spotted (instead of the more common striped) pattern in shades of caramel, umber, black and translucent pink. Tested and guaranteed 18K. Origin: probably American, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, no chips, all original. Size: 11/16” x 1/2". |
