A handsome pair of Victorian 14K yellow gold love knot cufflinks, the faces centered with round cut hessonite garnets—an unusual variety of grossularite garnet. These garnets are known for their dark orange color and the characteristic “scotch and water” visual effect that gives the stones’ interiors a watery appearance. The knots are further enhanced with engraved decoration. Tested and guaranteed 14K. Origin: America, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1/2” diameter. Weight: 5.3 grams.
