A lovely vintage 14K yellow gold stylized floral brooch by Ming’s of Honolulu. The pin is set with two white jade drops and is scattered with unusual 4.7-5.4 mm silvery-blue cultured pearls with very nice luster. The jade has a slight lavender overtone to the color. The stems have chiseled surfaces that suggest the texture of bark. Gold leaves with engraved veining complete the design. This piece can also be suspended from a chain or silk cord and worn as a pendant. Ming’s was Hawaii’s most important jeweler, and this style is very typical, though the use of colored pearls is not terribly common. The back is marked “14K Ming’s”. Origin: Hawaii, ca. 1960. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1” x 2-1/8”. Weight: 13.0 grams. NOTE: We are also offering a matching pair of earrings and a matching strand of jade beads. |
