A beautiful Victorian 14K yellow gold hinged bangle bracelet decorated with black taille d’epargne enamel in a floral pattern. The design is worked on both sides and shows stems of pansies (symbolizing remembrance in the Victorian language of flowers) tied with scrolling ribbon. The design is worked against a stippled background enclosed within narrow borders of bright-cut engraving. The bracelet is of oval form and is hinged. Tested and guaranteed 14K. Origin: America, ca. 1870. Condition: excellent, no enamel wear, a small nick along one edge (1/32” visible from top of bracelet), but no dings or monograms. Size: 17/32” wide; interior opening, 2-5/32” x 1-11/16”; interior circumference, 6”. Weight: 23.1 grams. |
