A very nice pair of Victorian double-sided cufflinks, the faces in the form of black mother of pearl buttons with gold stitches. Black mother of pearl is very uncommon and makes an elegant contrast with the rosy tint of the gold stitches and surrounding collet setting. The mother of pearl has very nice iridescence with strong streaks of green and rose in the orient. The faces are joined by chains. The backs are marked "18 Ct". Origin: England, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 9/16" diameter. Weight: 7.5 grams. |
