A wonderful Victorian figural mechanical pencil in the form of an owl intended to be worn on a chatelaine or watch chain. The owl is fully three-dimensional and is beautifully detailed. Figural mechanical pencils are quite rare and this one would be especially nice worn as a pendant. Origin: probably America or England, ca. 1890. Condition: no wear, but not in working condition; suitable for wear as a pendant. Size: 1-1/2” in retracted position; 2-1/8” fully opened. |
