A nice pair of painted cast iron curtain tiebacks in the form of sunflowers. The original paint is nicely applied with good shading.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, original paint, very minimal paint chipping along edges. Size: 2-1/4” diameter.

A three-color faceted overlay glass locket in a rolled gold mounting. The glass is cut to show the layers of red, white and blue opaque glass. The back cover is ruby glass dark enough to appear opaque black unless held to the light.

Origin: France, ca. 1875

Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks

Sterling silver berry spoon in Towle's 1884 "Arlington" pattern. This rare pattern featured a different repousse design on each piece of the service. The gilt spade-shaped bowl is engraved with climbing roses growing on a trellis. This decoration is especially interesting.

The pattern is named after Robert E. Lee's plantation, "Arlington". Union troops buried their dead in Mrs. Lee's rose garden as a spiteful act, and unwittingly created Arlington National Cemetary.

Origin: America, c. 1880s. Condition: excellent, gilding intact, no monogram. Size: 6-7/8" long.

Lovely sterling silver lettuce fork in Whiting's 1896 "Dresden" pattern. The ornate design of flowers and shells compliments the elegant shape of the piece.

Iceberg lettuce, developed at the end of the 19th century, was the first leafy vegetable that would keep long enough to be transported from farms to larger cities. Consequently, lettuce was a very elegant and costly food at formal dinners.

Exceptional American coin silver melon spoon in the Grecian taste. Although simply marked "Coin" this spoon could easily be the work of Gorham, Coles, or other makers of similar repute. The matte finished bowl is decorated with repousse lobes highlighted with bright cut engraving; the handle solely with bright cut engraving.

Origin: America, New England or Mid-Atlantic region; circa 1860. Condition: excellent; no monogram. Size: 8.25" long.

Beautifully engraved crystal candle shades with elegant sterling silver mountings made to screw into weighted sterling silver candlesticks. The shades are engraved with flowers surrounded by foliate wreaths. Marked "Sterling."

Origin: America, circa 1950s. Condition: mint. Size: 10" high, 4-1/2" diameter at top.

PLEASE NOTE: These shades will not fit all candlesticks due to slight variations in the diameter of the threaded openings in the candlesticks. Please measure your candlesticks carefully prior to ordering! The threaded portion of the shades is 27/32" diameter, and the threads are 3/32 wide.

Lovely white overlay glass lamp base with enameled floral decoration. Gilding accents the edges of the cut facets. The opaque white overlay is beautifully decorated with swags of roses. The top of the lamp is finished with a nicely engraved collar that connects to the electrical hardware. The lamp has been fairly recently rewired.

Origin: Bohemia, circa 1910. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks. Size: 10-1/4” tall (not including electrical socket); 5-13/16” diameter at base.

Sterling silver berry/serving spoon in Whiting's beautiful 1893 "Imperial Queen" pattern. This is one of the most sought-after patterns by this maker.

Origin: America, ca. 1895. Condition: excellent, sharp detail, no monogram. Size: 7-5/8".

An unusually nice Victorian gold-filled locket in the aesthetic taste. The front features a marsh scene of reeds and flowers growing alongside the water’s edge, all worked in different shades of gold. The design is enclosed within an engraved border. The back of the locket is engraved with multiple designs akin to a crazy quilt.

A very well-cut low bowl in an unidentified pattern. The cutting is deep, sharp and precise. The pattern comprises three panels of star- and diamond-cut cane, divided by elongated loops enclosing flashed fans and strawberry diamond, alternating with hobstars. The blank is heavy and very clear.

Origin: America, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, a 1/32" fleabite on the inside edge of one tooth. Size: 7-1/4" diameter; 2" high.

Porcelain vase in a squared baluster form by Coalport. The medium pink color is offset by a beautifully modeled and gilt snail and gilt details along the rim and the base. Ca. 1890. Origin: England. Size: 5-5/8" tall. Condition: some discoloration to the interior; light glaze crazing; no chips, cracks, etc.

Porcelain decanter in the shape of a bellhop, complete with his ring of keys, decorated with overglaze red, black and pink enamels. The bottom is marked "Germany" and also has a decorator's mark.

Origin: Germany, ca. 1920. Condition: Light glaze crazing; a small chip on the cap and three small flakes at the bottom edge are visible in the photos (all could be easily repaired). Size: 9-1/2" tall.

Lovely sterling silver berry spoon dating from the reign of Queen Victoria. The gilt bowl is finely and elegantly decorated with a repousse pattern featuring grapes, pomegranates and apples. Both sides of the handle are decorated with bright-cut floral engraving. Clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1870 with the sovereign's head and the maker's mark "FE" in conjoined circles.

Origin: Birmingham, England. Condition: excellent; no monograms or removals. Size: 8-5/8" long.

Lovely blown flint glass sugar bowl or covered comport in a panel design, the molded bell-shaped lid rising to a pointed finial. The bottom has a polished pontil. The glass is of heavy weight and good clarity.

Origin: American, possibly Sandwich or Cambridge, ca. 1840. Condition: the bowl has one 1/8" flake under the bottom rim and another of the same size on the edge of the bottom rim; the top has one 1/2" shallow flake underneath the rim and some general roughness around the edges of the rim. Size: 5" diam.; 7" tall.

Lovely Art Deco quadruple strand necklace composed of white seed beads flanking two lapis lazuli hemispheres alternating with three rings of channel-set paste.

Origin: American, ca. 1925. Condition: excellent. Size: 15" long.

Sterling silver bottle opener in Georg Jensen's beautiful 1930 Art Deco "Cactus" pattern. The handle is marked "Georg Jensen" in a dotted oval and "Sterling Denmark"; the opener is marked "Georg Jensen Denmark".

Origin: Denmark. Condition: excellent, no monogram. Size: 4-13/16" long.

Sterling silver berry spoon in Whiting's 1891 "Louis XV" pattern. This is the smaller-sized berry spoon, and is appropriate for serving a wide range of side dishes or, of course, berries. The back is marked with Whiting's hallmark and the patent date, indicating that this is an older piece.

Origin: America, circa 1890s. Condition: excellent, sharp details, no monogram. Size: 7-5/8" long.

A set of six sterling silver demitasse or coffee spoons in Gorham's early (1870) "Swiss" pattern. The design is similar to Gorham's other early sterling patterns, with a decidedly classical decoration of anthemion leaves. The bowls have a matte finish which contrasts nicely with the handles. The backs are engraved with a period 3-letter monogram "LBE". The backs are marked with Gorham's early hallmarks.
