Very nice pair of sterling silver napkin rings in their original silk- and velvet-lined fitted box. The inside lid of the box is embossed with the mark "Viner's of Sheffield By Appointment To The Late King George V". Each napkin ring is fully hallmarked for Sheffield, England, 1966.

Condition: mint. Size: 2-3/8" x 11/16" x 3/4".

Porcelain beaker decorated in transfer and polychrome enamels with scenes of Louisville, Kentucky. The scenes include "Thomas Jefferson Statue & Court House", "Entrance to Cave Hill Cemetary", and "Post Office & Custom House". These glasses were made in Austria, Bohemia and Germany from the 1890's until World War I. We are also offering similar glasses featuring Boston, Cincinnati, and St. Louis. The bottom is marked "Victoria Austria". Origin: Austria, 1891-1918. Condition: near mint, with very slight wear to the gilded edges. Size: 3-3/4" tall.

Outstanding majolica pitcher in the form of an owl. Modeled by the George Morley Co., this pattern is an icon of American majolica production. The colors are very nice, including the medium-pink interior. Unsigned.

Origin: American, 1884-91. Condition: sharp details, no chips, a hairline running along the back of the pitcher from near the top of the handle to the base, note that the dark areas that look like chips on the base are actually the remnants of adhesive used to hold on old felt pads. Size: 9" tall.

Lovely panel-cut footed crystal compote, the stem with a blown teardrop. The foot is shaped to conform to the panel cutting. The crystal is top quality, with excellent weight and color. The bottom has a polished pontil.

Origin: England or Ireland, circa 1830. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks. Size: 5-5/8" tall, 7-7/8" diameter; bowl is approximately 2" deep.

Large sterling silver berry spoon in Kirk's wonderful "Repousse" pattern. Certainly the most famous of all silver patterns to emerge from Baltimore, "Repousse" is filled with flowers such as roses, daisies and forget-me-nots. The bowl of the spoon is decorated with mixed fruit including strawberries, apples, grapes and raspberries. The back is marked "S. Kirk & Son Sterling", the mark used between 1927 and 1961.

Origin: Baltimore, Maryland, 1927-61. Condition: mint, no monogram. Size: 9-1/4" long.

Lovely Edwardian brooch featuring beautifully-crafted floral swirls and filigree of yellow gold surrounding a carved oval plaque of chrysoprase centered with a collet-set white sapphire. The pinstem is marked with partially illegible marks. The maker's mark "WW" (or "MM") is clearly stamped. Tested and guaranteed 14K.

Origin: Continental, circa 1910. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1-11/16" x 13/16". Weight: 4.0 grams.

Spectacular and rare sterling silver souvenir spoon by Tiffany & Co. The spoon commemorates Commodore George Dewey's 1898 victory at the Battle of Manila during the Spanish-American War. The handle is decorated with a bust of Dewey encircled by a laurel wreath. The wreath is tied with a ribbon which cascades down the stem of the spoon and bears the words "Manila May 1st 1898". The stem is further decorated with seaweed, four stars signifying Dewey's rank, and an anchor. The reverse of the handle is decorated with the laurel wreath and ribbon encircling the coat of arms of the state of Vermont and has Dewey's birth year. The stem is marked "Tiffany & Co. Sterling". All in all, this is one of the most spectacular souvenir spoons by Tiffany we've ever seen!

Pair of elegant cut crystal bud vases with sterling silver footrims. The vases are cut with a simple starburt pattern near the upper rims. Marked "Wallace Sterling R-62".

Origin: America, circa 1960. Condition: excellent, no dents or chips. Size: 8" tall.

Extraordinary oil on wood panel painting depicting Native American thatched huts on an Arizona Indian Reservation. The coloring of the work is especially nice--with a predominance of amber, lavender, and yellow. The style is nearly impressionistic, particularly in the treatment of the background. The painting remains in its original giltwood frame. The backing paper bears two inscriptions in different hands, "Indian Reservation in Arizona--1920" and "Indian Reservation in Ariz From The Schultes 1920". Early images from the American West are extremely desirable, and those depicting Native American life are among the rarest.

Origin: America, 1920. The backing paper also has the original framer's label from the Annex Art Shop in Chicago, Ill.

Condition: original frame and backing paper (paper torn); blacklight examination reveals no inpainting, damage or repair. Size: framed, 15-1/2" x 11"; image size: 12-7/16" x 7-13/16". Extraordinarily high quality and desirable oil on wood panel painting depicting two circular huts with thatched roofs.

Rare pair of Staffordshire earthenware figurines of whippets. Each dog poses over a rabbit he has brought to the master of the hunt. The cushion bases are decorated with a simple gilt line.

Origin: England, circa 1850. Condition: excellent, a tiny bit of glaze roughness on the tip of one nose, blacklight examination indicates no repairs or repainting. Size: 3-7/8" tall.

Set of four Bohemian glasses, each hand painted with a different pair of dogs. We're not dog experts, but they appear to be Scotties, wolfhounds, spaniels and Dalmatians. The quality of the painting is very nice, as is the quality of the glass. The top and bottom edges are decorated with gilt lines. The polished bottoms are acid-etched "Made In Czechoslovakia".

Origin: Czechoslovakia, 1918-1935. Condition: excellent, slight wear to gilt edges. Size: 5-3/4" tall.

Art Nouveau Imperial Russian silver opera purse from the reign of Czar Nicholas II and Czarina Alexandra Feodorovna. The purse is beautifully engraved with a spider on her web. The spider's body is set with an oval cabochon emerald and her head is a cabochon ruby. A finely detailed 18 karat yellow gold frog appears to be stalking the spider from the edge of her web. The front of the purse has an applied gold inscription, roughly translated as "Little Love", highlighted with a small cabochon sapphire. The interior pocket of the purse was just large enough to hold theatre tickets and perhaps an "emergency" ruble or two! Hallmarked with the Kokoshnik used in the Odessa region, 1896-1908, and also with an unidentified silversmith's mark (perhaps transliterated V.L.).

Origin: Odessa, Russia, 1896-1908. Condition: a few small dings, mostly along the top edge between the ends of the chain right where rings would hit when being carried; apparently there was another applied gold inscription on the back side that is now missing; the interior shows some wear, but is useable. Size (closed): 3-3/4" x 2" excluding chain handle.

Superb sterling silver tongs in the "Kings" pattern. These are of the finest workmanship, exhibiting crisp detail on a very heavy blank. Fully hallmarked for London, 1842, with the Victoria head duty mark. The maker's mark is "WE" in conjoined circles.

Origin: London, England, 1842. Condition: virtually mint, period monogram "JJ". Size: 6".

19th century cast iron figure of an angel raising a laurel wreath above her head and holding a ship's anchor. Obviously intended as a symbol of the wishes for a sailor's safe return from the sea, the plaque was probably used to decorate the wall of a sailor's home in an Atlantic coast seaport.

Origin: America, circa 1860s. Condition: excellent, light rusting on surface. Size: 14" tall.

Very nice Staffordshire spaniel well-painted with black spots, gray accents and a gold padlock collar.

Origin: England, circa 1860. Condition: excellent, except for a 1/8" glaze flake on the back of one ear. Size: 3-7/8" tall.

High quality 18 karat yellow gold bar bin featuring an elongated center of pierced and milligrained platinum set with an assymetrical arrangement of 15 rose-cut diamonds around a natural pearl. The back retains its original trombone catch and the pinstem is stamped with the French 18 karat gold hallmark.

Origin: France, circa 1930s. Condition: excellent. Size: 2-3/4" x 7/16". Approximate Weight: .35 carats.

Lovely sterling silver berry or casserole spoon in Towle's 1890 "Albany" pattern. Very Victorian in its styling, the decoration makes good use of delicate flowers, swirling foliage, and a beautifully double-scalloped and matte gilt bowl. The back is marked with Towle's hallmark.

Origin: America, circa 1890s. Condition: excellent, sharp detail, period monogram "H"(?). Size: 9-1/8" long.

Sterling silver gravy ladle in Kirk's 1937 "Rose" pattern. Fully decorated with a repousse floral design in the great Baltimore silver tradition, this piece would look lovely mixed with similar patterns such as Kirk "Repousse", Stieff "Rose", Schofield "Baltimore Rose", etc. The reverse is marked with Kirk's mark from the period 1927-1961. Excellent condition; no monogram or removal. 7-1/8" long.
