A colorful vintage Germany Santa Claus squeeker toy. He has a composition face and cotton batting beard. His suite is red and blue wool felt with white trim. The boots are pressed paperboard. The body conceals the bellows for the squeeker. The bellows still moves, but no longer makes noise. The original “Made In Germany” sticker is still inside one foot.

• Condition: excellent painted details, a 1/4" hole to one side of the felt hood, no noise

A very rare cobalt blue version of the Santa Claus or Belsnickel bottle created around 1900 by Monroe Gandy Husted of the Husted-Hall Mold Works in Bridgeton, NJ. The bottle was blown into a three-part mold. This example retains the original quatrefoil-shaped front label showing a snow-covered mountain cabin surrounded by a holly leaf border. The clear bottles have an embossed “M.G. Husted” signature, but the cobalt bottles do not, leading some to suspect the blue versions were reproductions. The original label and the wear marks on the basal rim clearly indicate an early date. Husted died in 1923, so it’s likely that these bottles were made in the years following his death, up to the 1930s.

A steel cowbell hand-painted on one side with a detailed rendering of a living room with stockings hung above a roaring fireplace, a grandfather clock showing midnight, and a sleeping cat (or dog). “’Twas the night before Christmas.” the opening line of Clement Moore’s 1823 poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” is painted at the top. One narrow side of the bell is painted, “Happy New Year,” and the other with “The year is going, let him go,” a line from Alfred Lord Tennyson’s 1850 poem “Ring out, wild bells.” The other large side shows a woman walking along a snowing path, her arms laden with holly wreaths and the legend, “Merrie Xmax,” Given the literary references of the other decoration, this image must refer to some long-forgotten Christmas or New Year’s tale.

A nice vintage pulp jack o'lantern with the original paper insert. The paint is bright.

A delightful composition Easter rabbit figurine from the 1920s. The dapper figure is shown in a walking pose while wearing yellow shoes, a bright red jacket and a white waistcoat. He carries a spun cotton carrot over his shoulder. The bottom is stamped “Japan.”

The second figure is a happy Easter white rabbit nodder wearing a red jacket with a blue collar. The face and insides of the ears are painted in bright pink. The nodder mechanism allows the head to turn and jiggle slightly.
